Ninety Days of Douglas Noel Adams
Today is 90 days away from Towel Day, on May 25th, our most sacred of festivities in the Galactic Hitchhikers community. It’s on this day every year that we enter a three month posting pilgrimage, and tighten the reigns on what the mods will be allowing. It’s a time to reset, and remember what we’ve all come together to celebrate, Douglas Adams and his many works, but most importantly that wholly remarkable book, the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
The Galactic Hitchhikers community is founded on the notion that the Guide is a filter to see the universe through, it reminds us that life is far too ridiculous to be taken too seriously.
For the next 90 days we will only be approving posts that are either directly related to Douglas Adams, or are relevant to our pledge of being science and science-fiction fanatics, social activists, hopeful futurists, space-hippies and dreamers, gamers and geeks, self-professed professional slackers, forward thinkers and generally good folk.
Unless another lawyer is forced to declare his non-feline status.
The mod staff and myself tend to let a real lot posts past that are not really the best fit for our aim, frankly there is just a lot of the time we are flattered that people see something they like and share it with us. That has always been the goal, after all; Cool people sharing cool shit with other cool people.

We have grown so much the past ten years, did you know that this is our tenth year?! From a few friends to well over 35,000 friends our love of the Frood has been the center of our community. Join us during these hoopy days ahead when we get back to our roots.
